I would like to express my thanks for the warm welcome the parish gave me last week-end. For those of you who were not present, I stated that as I arrive here I see my role from three perspectives:
To develop our shared bapsmal priesthood through key aspects of Chrisan living such as worship, evangelisaon, teaching, pastoral care, prophec and social acon, seeking peace and dialogue, admin- istraon and developing our sense of community
To ‘dive deep in to the rich ocean’ of our Catholic Christian tradition while still being open to the signs of the mes and the Spirit’s presence in the world
That our relationships express Christ’s openness, compassion, tenderness, vulnerability and self-giving love as highlighted in the words of the Mass, ‘This is my body given for you’.
I appreciate that I have a lot to learn and reflect upon. My ‘L’ plates are on! I am sure the meeng to reflect on Moving Forward Together in Hope will give me more informaon regarding the parish. I hope I am open to your ideas and viewpoints
